Union Education
Unions are not 'job clubs'. They are the living proof that in numbers, there is strength, and that from strength comes respect.
Members of unions respect one another. They respect their unions. And they respect the Labour movement.
The UBC and its Locals believe strongly in making sure that members understand not only how important their union membership is to their careers and their families, but also how important it is to the strength of the union for them be active, involved and committed.
Through their membership in our union, members collectively enjoy a higher standard of living, and they enjoy more involvement in the total community.
From time to time, often depending on demand, we offer courses to our members in various aspects of being a better, more active union member, and in subjects relating to the operation of a good union.
