UBC member – other Local

If you’re a member of another Canadian UBC Local, you’re welcome to come to Alberta and work out of our halls, either as a new member of one of our Locals, or as a visiting member of your original Local.

In order to do this, you need to transfer your affiliation to one of our Locals (1325, 2103). Transferring members must attend an orientation in Edmonton or Calgary (call 780 732-2157 for dates), and there are orientations once per month in each centre.

Members must be in transfer status with their home Local in order to be accepted for change of affiliation (transfer). Your Local must have dispatched you here in response to our request for additional help.

The only thing you need to understand is that our dispatch system gives priority to members with local addresses. The address we have on record for you is related to the Local with which you are affiliated.
