Our policy is to place members on an Alberta-Canada-US priority basis.

Because we supply skilled workers to Alberta’s massive oil sands plant projects, we sometimes have long periods of time during which demand from employers far outstrips the supply of our members within Canada.

When demand reaches those levels, our employers seek Labour Market Opinions from our federal government. LMOs give them the ability to direct-hire temporary foreign workers.

The way it works is for an employer to contact us with his requirements. We then put the employer in touch with a qualified worker outside Canada, and the employer makes arrangements with the worker to bring him or her over the Canadian border.

Your best bet to connect with opportunities such as this is to fill in a quck form and return it to us. If we know your training, experience and contact information, we can let you know when you can come to Canada to work.

You’ll enjoy working here. Foreign workers are paid equal wages and benefits. Employers generally pay travel. And our work camps are high quality operations, with recreational facilities, private bedrooms (bathroom shared with one other), TVs, internet connections, etc.

You also won’t believe the level of the safety on our worksites!
