Our members are either apprentices or Journeymen, and every one of them knows the employer’s bottom line is our surest way to more work in the future. The result? Our employers benefit from a much more productive workforce than their competitors who employ non-union labour.
Our professional standards are high – we dispatch no one who is not an apprentice, a Journeyman or an Interprovincial Red Seal.
Because we know that people are more productive when they’re well trained and they stay up to date with trends in materials and technology, we invest heavily in training. Our Alberta Carpenters Training Centre operates top-quality, year-round carpentry and scaffolding programs and a wide array of industry-approved safety courses in Edmonton, Calgary and Fort McMurray.
